I’m super excited to be a part of the new Evolve Fitwear Dream Team, even comes with it’s own tank! As part of the team I am lucky enough to get to try out some of the pieces Evolve sells to those looking for some sweet active wear! This month I was sent a pair of leggings and a tank top to test out. Here are my thoughts.
These leggings first caught my eye because of the cool owl design on the side of the leggings. The detailed graphic is mesmerizing to look at and looks great on the side of the leg.
The leggings are made mostly of polyester and a little elastane. Now I’m 5’4 and about 120lbs so these were about the perfect length. The waistband is nice and wide and not compressive. I am not a fan of compressing waistbands so this band felt nice and comfortable but not too loose.
My physical practice can get pretty intense and I sweat quite a bit during it, while these leggings are breathable and seem to dry pretty quickly they felt a little heavy for the weight I prefer in my leggings. While I don’t think I would wear them again while I practice I would wear them for teaching or hiking, an activity where I wouldn’t be sweating so much. Sadhana has several other styles and prints of leggings and some super cute strappy bras.
I really liked the look of this tank online, it seemed cute and like I would be able to use it for teaching and outdoor activities. Since I usually practice in just a sports bra it was weird to be wearing a full tank top during my practice and this mostly organic cotton top was just too heavy for me during practice. It was nice that it has a shelf bra though so I didn’t have to wear a sports bra too.
I did like that the neckline is high enough I didn’t have any pose concerns, if you know what I mean. I love the strappy back which provides some breathability but I wouldn’t wear this tank for practice. I am excited to wear it outdoors when it gets warmer and have worn it for teaching several times and it performs well and I have received several compliments on it!
